Open Stage Announces Growth of Professional Staff

Open Stage, one of Harrisburg, PA’s oldest non-profit regional theatres, announced today the addition of three new team members to its professional staff.

Jess Yahner, Griffin Cusick, and TJ Creedon have joined Open Stage as Development and Outreach Manager, Marketing Coordinator, and Graphic Designer, respectively.

These additions to the team come just a few months after the launch of in-person productions for the theatre’s 36th season, and the reopening Open Stage’s recently renovated facility at 25 North Court Street in Harrisburg.

“These new artists represent an intentional and optimistic expansion,” says Stuart Landon, Open Stage’s Producing Artistic Director. “After the facilities were remodeled in 2019 and reimagined earlier this year, we felt it was necessary to bring in bright, new minds to help Open Stage reach further than ever before.”

ABOUT THE NEW ARTISTS

Jess Yahner has been a part of the Central PA theatre and dance community for many years. She has worked as a performer, choreographer, director, and stage manager for Gretna Theatre, Little Theatre of Mechanicsburg, Theatre Harrisburg, and Susquehanna Stage.  She has also been an instructor at The Movement Laboratory, Hershey School of Dance, The Harrisburg Dance Conservatory, and others. Jess also has an extensive background working in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Special Education.

Griffin Cusick was born and raised in Chicago.  After getting a degree in film from University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, he worked as a freelance production assistant and editor on television commercials for Aurora Health Care, Fleet Farm, and Marquette University. He has written and directed several short films - some of which have gone on to show at various festivals throughout the Midwest.

TJ Creedon is a graphic and web designer who has been involved in theater and the performing arts since he was a child. TJ has a range of design expertise, including individual and commercial websites, print advertisements, reference books and more. TJ has performed on community and regional theater stages all across Central PA as a singer, an actor, a host, and a drag queen named Aileen Cuisine.
